Marcus Mottley is recent graduate from the University of the District of Columbia. He is 25 years old, born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. At the age of 20, he came to the United States on a Student-Athlete scholarship, representing the UDC Men’s Soccer team. His academic background stemmed from post-graduate institutions in Trinidad, where he made the decision to pursue a potential career in the business field. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelors of Business Administration, concentration in Marketing. His graduate degree (pending completion this semester) is Master of Business Administration, concentration in International Business.
At UDC, he has ensured that he made the best of his experience, being a part of several organizations including the UDC Student Ambassador Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Since 2018, he has worked at UDC as a Student Advisor for the new Hany Makhlouf Advising Center where he took great pride in helping students monitor their academic progress as well as make them navigate through their academic journey smoothly and successfully.
In the future, he wishes to pursue his PhD in Leadership and potentially teach at the tertiary level. Prior to that, he aims to work and progress in the field of Marketing/Advertising.
