Latosha Baldwin currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Success at the University of the District of Columbia. Ms. Baldwin previously held the position of Senior College Advisor & Recruiter at Calhoun Community College from 2003 until 2018 in Tanner, Alabama. Prior to this position, Ms. Baldwin worked in various other capacities at Calhoun, including as Advisor, Recruiter, and Orientation Instructor. Latosha’s comfort with instruction and supervision likely emanates from her non-academic experience working in front of, and behind, the video camera as a reoccurring actor on multiple web-based series in various acting, casting, production and assistant directing roles.
Ms. Baldwin holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from A&M University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Jacksonville State University. She brings a wealth of experience regarding students in higher education and in-home counseling for at-risk families that includes developing educational and career plans for under-prepared students to assist with their entrance into college. In this role, Ms. Baldwin will be in charge of making sure GT abide by its internal policies and will oversee global operations as she is stationed in Washington DC. She will develop strategies on how our GTSL’s community hubs (PROJECT JOI) will operate at their beginning stages and will work closely with the President to build corporate relationships, execute special events, recruit Board members, and lead the organization to meet objectives stated in the new strategic plan 2020-2025. Ms. Baldwin lives resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
